THE PAUL LESLIE HOUR INTERVIEWS Episode #341 – Sid Mark

Episode #341 – Sid Mark

2015 was a very important year for all the aficionados of Frank Sinatra music. It was the centenary, 100 years since the greatest American singer’s birth. One man with a wealth of Sinatra lore is radio personality Sid Mark. It was an honor to interview Sid Mark and broadcast it on FM radio in 2015. I am proud to pull that special interview out of the archives to present it to you.

For 63 years and counting, radio disc jockey Sid Mark has been hosting a show spinning the regal, timeless recorded music of Frank Sinatra. Sid Mark’s “Sunday with Sinatra” airs every Sunday morning on WPHT 1210 AM in Philadelphia, Pa. The highly ranked radio show is the only program where music is played on WPHT, which is a Clear Channel talk station. His nationally syndicated show Sounds of Sinatra airs on almost 100 radio stations nationwide. It is the only show of it’s kind ever acknowledged and authorized by Frank Sinatra. As a past interviewee Frank Sinatra, Jr. once remarked about Sid Mark, “he has interviewed everybody who has anything to do with Sinatra, including Sinatra himself.”

The Sid Mark interview is right here on The Paul Leslie Hour. It’s a pleasure and honor indeed.
