Matthew Kopperud of the band Close Talker checks in on The Paul Leslie Hour. Indie rock band Close Talker has toured internationally to great audience reaction. Based in Saskatoon, Canada their newest album “How Do We Stay Here?” NPR, Billboard, Clash, Spin and Q Magazine are a few of the media outlets to heap generous praise on the band. Matt is the guitarist with Close Talker and made time to call in prior to their European tour next month. He talks about the new record, the band’s influences and their innovation. Close Talker was the first North American band to premier a “3D – 350 Degree Silent Headphone Concert Series. The band performed the newest album from beginning to end to a seated audience wearing headphones in order to hear so-called “3D” mixing. Matthew Kopperud gives the skinny on the band in this soothing interview.
