Episode #92 – Pat Alger

Pat Alger is a master of songwriting. As a singer and guitarist, he has made recordings under his own name. However, songs written or co-written by Pat Alger have been recorded by a number of other artists: Livingston Taylor, Nanci Griffith, Kathy Mattea, Hal Ketchum, Peter, Paul and Mary; Dolly Parton, etc. Some of his most well known songs were written with Garth Brooks: “The Thunder Rolls” and “Unanswered Prayers.”

An inductee of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, it’s our great pleasure to present one of songwriting’s all time greats right here on The Paul Leslie Hour.
