THE PAUL LESLIE HOUR INTERVIEWS Episode #532 – Jenny Yates

Episode #532 – Jenny Yates

Jenny Yates is a special guest on The Paul Leslie Hour.

Jenny Yates is an undeniable artist. An incomparable singer who is a pleasure to listen to and a magnificent songwriter. She’s sung, performed and recorded her own music. Her album “Out of the Blue” has been well received.

Yates is an award-winning hit songwriter. Many are aware of the hit song Garth Brooks recorded, “Standing Outside the Fire,” which he wrote with her. Yates has co-written more than a dozen songs with Brooks, but has also written with such luminaries as the late Andrew Gold as well as blues artist Keb ‘Mo,’ and the legendary Janis Ian.

Many in the country music world recorded songs written or co-written by Jenny Yates: Kathy Mattea, Sammy Kershaw, Dan Seals, Gary Morris, Pam Tillis, Wynnona, Moe Bandy, Eddie Rabbitt and others.

This interview is in-depth and will hopefully not be the only exchange with this super talent. We’re also treated to some solo acoustic / vocal performances with Jenny Yates. She’s right here on The Paul Leslie Hour and you’re invited to listen.
