Jason Burge and Paul Leslie take a close look at Billy Joel’s most celebrated album, “The Stranger,” this is the 5th Billy Joel studio album. The producer on this album was the late, great Phil Ramone, one of the most legendary record producers in the history of music. This was the first in a run of 6 total albums produced by Ramone, the lion’s share of Joel’s discography. Recorded and released in 1977 “The Stranger” is 9 songs with a runtime of about 42 minutes.
