Abraham Laboriel is 73 years old today! Born in Mexico City on July 17, 2020, he was called one of the greatest bassists of all time. He is definitely the most widely used session bass players, having played on more than 4,000 recordings and soundtracks.

He has played on albums from artists like George Benson, Barbra Streisand, Engelbert Humperdinck, Paul Simon, Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Donald Fagen, Elton John, Larry Carlton and too many artists to list

He performed with jazz bands Koinonia and Friendship. These days he he is a member of the instrumental jazz band Open Hands, which performs and records.
