The Cure remain one of the most fascinating bands in modern music. 2019 saw the release of the 2-DVD release “40 LIVE,” which is a double concert film set that captures two monumental historic shows performed by The Cure in 2018 in celebration of their 40th Anniversary. After watching the DVDs in close detail, I sat down with music reviewer, writer, classically trained musician Jason Burge to discuss the films. Burge is a true aficionado of The Cure and was even present at the historic Hyde Park concert. It’s an insightful exchange any fan of The Cure will enjoy.
