It’s a pleasure to welcome a man known by a single name: Kostas. A native of Greece, he moved to the United States when he was 7 years old. Kostas is a singer-songwriter and has been writing songs for 40 years. Although h released an album entitled XS in Moderation on Liberty Records, he’s most known for the songs he wrote recorded by other artists.His first #1 hit song was “Timber, I’m Falling in Love” recorded by Patti Loveless which was also her first #1. He co-wrote a number of songs recorded by Dwight Yoakam such as “Ain’t that Lonely Yet” and co-wrote songs with Yoakam. A diverse number of recording artists have cut Kostas songs including Etta James, Travis Tritt, Martina McBride, Marty Stuart, Trisha Yearwood, George Strait and others.

It’s an honor to present a rare interview with Kostas and we hope this isn’t his only visit on The Paul Leslie Hour.
