I have seen two shows from the same tour more than a few times, but never on consecutive nights! But this is Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson we’re talking about! The Outlaw Music Festival is the nation’s largest touring festival, and apparently… they’re all about creating an experience you won’t forget.
My friend Robert McCready and I were able to go. I took Robert to see his first Bob Dylan concert last year, which we reviewed. With our appetite for adventure and a shared spirit for things that endure, we decided to see Dylan again. This time though, it would be Robert’s first time seeing Willie Nelson and band. I was curious to see how he would react!
Something that made this experience very special was that it was a gift. Our friends Tom Birch, a bona fide radio legend and his lovely wife Aurora Diaz-Plaja Birch (who was a past guest on this show) made it possible to see this show. May I add, from SECTION 1??
It was miraculous to meet them in-person for the first time and also share some refreshments, and I’ll be excited to interview Tom Birch on The Paul Leslie Hour this year.
Seeing this show revived our spirits! I can’t wait for you to listen to Robert and I talk all about it immediately after the event ended. Robert and I like to yak, so this one is a bit livelier.
