Gary Burton is a jazz vibraphonist, composer, performing & recording artist as well as educator. He retired from music in March of 2017, but is kind enough to spend some time with us. A prolific recording artist, Gary Burton has collaborated with many greats in jazz from Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, the late Stephane Grappelli, Keith Jarrett just to name a few. He’s also appeared on some singer-songwriters recordings including k.d. lange, Bruce Cockburn and the late Tim Hardin. He wrote a memoir entitled Learning to Listen: The Jazz Journey of Gary Burton.
